Emily Schmidt is a multidisciplinary visual artist and freelance photographer based in Springfield, Missouri. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Film Production with a minor in Psychology, bringing a thoughtful, story-driven approach to her work across photography, film, and painting. Emily is also registered with the Missouri Film Office as a production assistant.

Her experience includes writing, directing, filming, and editing narrative projects, including a capstone film exploring themes of men's mental health and body image. In 2022, she completed a photography internship in the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico, where Philmont Scout Ranch and Scouting Paradise Magazine featured her work.

Emily currently serves as the season photographer for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and recently completed two public art sculptures for Springfield’s Centennial Route 66 Festival. Across every medium, her work is rooted in thoughtful visual storytelling and a deep appreciation for atmosphere, emotion, and place.
